Week Thirty Two: 8/4-8/10

It's August already!! This year is flying by. School will be starting in a  few weeks....and that means Kindergarten - oh my! But let's not just to that just yet. =)

This week....
Monday - National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. What else are you going to do but make cookies?!
Eli at Y camp playing games - I love that they have a closed Facebook page so parents can see pictures of fun stuff going on at camp.
Tuesday - the UNC life flight helicopter came to the Y and the kids all got to see it.
Wednesday - I made a run to Dollar Tree and found these! I love cinnamon and was really excited for this little treat.
Another Y picture - they swim every day during camp. So much fun!!
Eli was wiped out when he got home. He was asleep on the couch before I even got home from work.
Thursday he seemed ok but then we ended up keeping him home Friday. Not sure if he just got overheated and exhausted this week or what. It was so cute, he called these pop-sick-lee.

Grandma C came to visit for the weekend - she got here Friday night - and it was go go go while she was here! Saturday we started the day at Marbles with a 5th birthday party for Cole's buddy Jack. Then in the afternoon, we went to Frankie's Fun Park for Ryan's 7th birthday party. Lots of pizza, cake and excitement.
Gosh, he's getting so big!
Jack's cool construction cake
Party Room! Jack in the Birthday Chair at the Head of the Table.
P-I-Z-Z-A
Birthday Boy, Jack.
Birthday Kid Coming Through....
These two have known each other since they were wee little babes.
Brandy, Jack, Mark and Jack.

Cole was super excited to lick the icing off the backhoe. Could.not.wait!

Cole Franklin on his own $100 bill.
These three...oh my. Eli, Matthew and one of Matthew's buddies. We let them have more freedom to do what they wanted to at the museum as long as they stuck together. They did really well with that privilege. Growing so fast!
Pulling himself up.
Go Cole! Playing hockey with friends.
Slam Dunk!

Grandma C with Eli, Cole and Birthday Boy Jack. =)

And off to Frankie's for more fun.....
Cole loved pretending to ride the motorbikes and play the games.
At least for now, he's content to pretend drive them.

Tim got in on the action. Showed Eli how to shoot at the targets.
This was fun to watch.
Tim and Eli were in a capsule together flying some sort of aircraft.
I think it also shook when they got hit.
This was fun too - it was like an air hockey game
combined with a Pac Man board and dropped a whole lot of little pucks on the table.
MORE pizza - happy boys to have it for two meals in one day.
Ryan's 7th Birthday Cake
Happy Birthday Ryan!!

Sunday, we went to church and then in the afternoon, I did a 7 mile run at Umstead - that kicked my butt!! We enjoyed having Grandma here this weekend to share in our fun.
On the way home from church. So sweet!

Grandma loves her boys and I love their faces in this picture.
Couldn't resist this cute picture of Eli snuggling with the Minions.
