Trick or Treat!!

Eli and Cole had a great time trick or treating tonight for Halloween. All week I wasn't sure if they were going to have costumes because they couldn't decide what they wanted to be. Usually I make their costumes but not this year.....things have been really busy and I had no idea what to make. Just this past weekend, they decided that they wanted to be scientists. Hmmm, how do I make that happen? Well, I ordered lab coats and some plastic beaker cups from Amazon (that arrived yesterday!) and put them with the button up shirts that they wore for Easter. It was perfect. Well, actually, the Periodic Table bow ties made it perfect! They were very happy with their costumes and had fun going around the neighborhood. The coolest thing was that when they felt they had "enough" candy, they were done. They didn't care to go to every single house or get a huge ton of candy....I bet they had less than half their pumpkins. But hey, this Mom is not complaining!!
 Look at these cute scientists!

 Ready to go
Ms. Amy came over to see them before they got started.

They even had their own experiments with them.

1st stop - as always - Ms. Amy's house. This year I hung out in the driveway with Amy and handed out candy while Tim walked around the neighborhood with the boys. It was weird but nice!
 Quite the haul Cole!
 You too Eli!

They are so my children - candy all sorted.

Pumpkin Carving Time

The boys had been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting to carve pumpkins and tonight was the night!! It was so fun watching them cut, clean and carve their pumpkins - especially the cleaning out part. They enjoyed it all. The pictures are worth a million words!

Oh my gosh....that sweet face!

This picture makes me laugh every single time I see it. Just look at Eli and Tim's faces.

Eli insisted on drawing and carving his own this year. Go Eli!
Cole cut the top off his.
Finished products! Cole's, Tim's and Eli's - and yes, a white pumpkin has a white inside and white seeds. Who knew?!

Week Forty-Three: 10/20-10/26

Aside from Tim & I becoming Spartans this week, we had a full week of work, school and fun stuff. =) Eli started basketball at the Y this week. Practice on Tuesday; his first game on Saturday. I am not sure what happened but I thought I took pictures but can't find any of them! The boys also had picture day at school on Friday. Can't wait to see how they turned out!

Eli's Weekend News from school - I love how accurate his "reporting" is. And I always think that his teacher must be amazed by our adventures (she might even wonder if he makes it up!). He'll make a good blogger / reporter one day!
(Monday) My little Genuises.....I mean Brain Ninjas
Eli has to do a Pumpkin Book report for school. The pumpkin is supposed to reflect the book  and its main character. They also had to do a bag to look like the cover of the book.
Eli chose 'Flat Stanley Adventures' and the specific book was about the Eiffel Tower. We decided to paint his pumpkin like a globe and show all the places that Flat Stanley has been. This is the work in progress.
My Lego Tower Crane finally making its way to my office. =)
Tim gave me this Lego Crane a LONG time ago and I'm finally in an office that I feel is secure enough to keep it.
After Eli's basketball game on Saturday, we headed to Farm since we stayed there before the Spartan Race. We met Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Billy, Aunt Niki and Connor for dinner at Moe's (Welcome to Moe's!).
It must be hard to be so cute!
Eli LOVES a Moe's burrito. He eats an adult meal!!
Grandpa built the boys a campfire after dinner.

A campfire is not complete without Smore's!

Silly Selfies

Silly faces

I LOVE this picture. Three generations of Crump Men. And Connor looks just like Billy did when he was little. I totally remember him that small!
Hard to believe my baby brother has a baby!!
I loved doing Spartan with Tim. It's not everyone's idea of fun but it sure is ours!
Happy soon-to-be Spartans.
Spartans!!

We did it!
The boys will LOVE doing Spartan next year.
