This has been an AWESOME week for the boys getting special mail!! On Tuesday, they got autographed postcards from Joe Moravsky, the Weather Man, from American Ninja Warrior. I was super surprised!! Last Friday I sent him a message through Facebook and told him that we're huge fans. Sent him our address and he sent cards to the boys. How cool is that?! We will most definitely be cheering for him again next season.
They were definitely surprised.
Thursday was even MORE special mail. Every year we send Christmas Shoe boxes though Operation Christmas Child. We always write a letter and send a picture to the boy that will eventually receive our shoe box. We were super excited to get a letter from our new friend Kondwani from Malawi!! We knew where our shoeboxes ended up due to bar codes on them but to actually receive a letter from the recipient.....priceless!! This was the first one we've received and it was really cool for the boys to actually SEE the boy who received the box and learn about him. It makes it even more real for them. We definitely plan on writing to him in the future. A pen pal!!!
