Bye Bye 2011!!

Goodbye 2011!!!

Today we went on a family hike at Umstead. The weather was awesome so we took full advantage of it. It was a great way to say goodbye to 2011. It has been a tough year and I'm very happy to have made it through. The boys have been a wonderful joy and have changed so much this past year. They are so much fun and we never know what will happen next.

Eli has been practicing writing everyone's names. He's getting really good at it.
Mommy & Cole
Eli loves being outside and in the woods
One boy.....
Two boys!
Good balance - I wouldn't let him cross over the creek though!
Future trail runner
This was so cute. Cole didn't want to walk so Eli took him by the hand and they started looking for trail markers and info signs.

I love family outside time.
Eli, the Concorde. Tim showed Eli the Concorde at the airport so now Eli cannot stop talking about it / asking questions / pretending to be the Concorde.

Playground fun

Today, after a trip to the Y, we stopped at the playground for some play time with Cole's buddy, Wyatt. Fun was had by all until exhaustion and fussiness took over. Amazing temps for the end of December!!

Cole and Wyatt - buds!
So little but so big!

snapped this quick funny picture of Eli coming down the slide

This was hilarious. Cole kept talking into it like a drive through speaker asking for pizza and nuggets.

our fun Christmas Day

The boys were SO excited on Christmas morning. When they woke up, Eli asked if Santa had been here. A trip downstairs and sure enough, he had! We had a great day low key day at home together as a family.

A lot of fun was had with foam packaging from one of my gifts.

Outside time

This was pretty impressive - Eli was playing dump truck soccer. Using his dump truck to push the ball around. He was actually really good at it!
Score!

Eli's little helper. While they were picking up sticks, Cole pulled the bin around.
Science experiment
Eli sat on one end (all their own idea)
