Week Thirty Four: 8/18-8/24

Such a busy week - a FOUR post week!! Big stuff included Eli's birthday party at Defy Gravity, his actual birthday and then the triathlon. But there was a lot of other fun stuff this week. Eli was at Y camp this week and Cole is quickly coming to an end to his preschool days, very hard to believe!
This was super cute. Cole LOVES this shirt that Grandma & Grandpa N and he was super cute quoting it. "I am awesome....just saying'" Yes you are Cole!
A few of my favorite pictures from the birthday party.
Cole's face.....just awesome!
Eli loved having his birthday party at Defy Gravity.
Working on flips.
The Birthday Gang! Such a great night!
Mr. 7

Wednesday morning, Birthday donuts
Working on his Construct-o-Mech that Evan gave him for his birthday
Cole, my grocery helper. He was the best helper!
I was very impressed Friday when Eli had finished the Construct-o-Mech. All by himself!
Meet the Teacher - Eli was super excited to get Ms. S. I'm thrilled because she seems to run a very tight ship and pushes the kids to their best. Eli needs structure and high expectations. Hoping for a fantastic 2nd grade year!
Friday was also Ms. Laura's last day at Primrose. She came to 4K when Eli was there and taught Cole this year but now she's leaving to teach 2nd grade at a school closer to her home. We are glad that both boys were in class with her and Ms. Denise.
Friday night was bow practice when we got home. Eli was excited to practice (more) with his new birthday bow.

This cracks me up - Cole looks like an umpire.
Cole got a lesson from Daddy.

Then Eli got lessons from Mr. Jody - who hunts with a bow and is a really good shot.
All serious business.

Eli had some really good shots!
Saturday - triathlon packet pick up.
I bought chore boards for the boys to identify chores and track how well they're doing.
They had to come up with and write five chores each. A few were mandatory but the others they came up with were great. They have a chance to earn $5 per week - $1 goes to church, $1 to save and $3 can go into their spend fund.
Eli's Board - 1) Take out trash. 2) Homework. 3) Behavior at school. 4) Make bed on weekend. 5) Take out recycling.
Cole's Board - he originally had #1 as "Help Mom make cookies". We had to adjust. The revised board. 1) Homework. 2) Behavior at school. 3) Get mail. 4) Make bed on weekend. 5) Put away silverware.
Sunday morning - body marked and ready to "race"
It's not a race without your cheering squad with signs. =)
Too cute!
I love this picture because it shows Eli with such great freestyle form at such a young age. Our little fish!
The running bike dismount - unbelievable.
Across the finish line!!
Eli is a TRIATHLETE!!
