Week Fifty: 12/8-12/14

Week 50: Getting closer to Christmas and the end of 2015!! This week was pretty packed. Ever since Elfie Jim arrived, we've awakened to find new mischief every day. I've captured a few pictures here but hope to do an "all-in-one" post to show off his December antics.

Monday morning message

Monday night we finally finished decorating the Christmas tree. The boys had some behavior and attitude issues last night so we didn't get to finish it last night. This year's process was longer than normal but we did make sure to enjoy each step. It was a lot of fun.
Bead Helper
Mr. Personality- he cracks me up
1st ornament on the tree - Mickey Astronaut

Eli's 1st ornament - Storm Trooper

The boys decided where every ornament would go - well, most of them. The rule is that I open the boxes (don't want them destroyed!) and they get to decide where to put them. The only exception are a few of mine & Tim's that are special to us and breakable. Those go a little higher on the street.

Tuesday morning they boys woke up to find Elfie Jim under the tree with surprises for them.

Magic Treehouse Survival Guide - because you never know!

Tuesday night, Eli had basketball practice. I'm telling you, playing basketball with 7 and 8 year olds is a tough workout!! I had to stand-in as a player. Those boys are fast!!

Wednesday morning's find - I think this is the boy's favorite trick of all.

Wednesday night, I took some video of Eli at swim practice. I couldn't believe he was doing flip turns!! I tried to upload it but it didn't work - operator error, got to figure out how to do it. I can't even flip turn!
Thursday morning, we woke up to LOTS of Christmas bows in our kitchen - on cabinets, in cabinets and in the frig! Crazy Elf!!
Friday morning....Apparently Elfie challenged Dino to a wrestling match.
And he won......the boys got a super kick out of this!

Friday, Grandma & Grandpa N came up to spend the weekend and celebrate the holidays. Friday night was Glam Round 2 for me and Tim. We dressed up (again!) and headed to his company Christmas party. We had a fun time with his coworkers.
Mommy + Daddy = Glam, Round 2
Saturday morning find - Elfie had drawn faces on the boys' school pictures. Cole was NOT happy about this at all.

Saturday was a busy day. Cole had a birthday party to go to - his buddy Brady celebrated at Pump It Up. Cole had a blast running around with his friends. We then scooted over to the Y to meet Tim, Eli and his folks for Eli's basketball game. It was fun for Grandma & Grandpa N to see the game. Back home, it was time to cook and get ready for our family Christmas Celebration.

Apparently we have a Ladies' Man on our hands. =)
THIS was the most hilarious thing. Headed to the basketball game, Cole called my name. I looked back and saw this - Silly!

Eli - Mr. 7
The game, as always, was a lot of fun to watch.
Family Dinner Photo - I made a yummy pot roast for dinner. It was a hit!
A few photos before present opening.
We had fun celebrating with Grandma & Grandpa.

The boys loved their Snackeeze and Cole was UPSET Sunday morning when he woke up to find Elfie Jim lounging in his cup full of marshmallows.
He was perfectly happy though when we took Elfie out and replaced him with mini-muffins.
Playing with the train with Grandma Sunday morning.

Today we also went to church, I went on a run and the boys played LOTS of football outside. While doing all of that, Tim & Grandpa built the boys a shelf to display their Lego creations. It runs above and connects their Lego storage units. Super awesome!
Really good picture of Grandma & Grandpa N. Merry Christmas!!
