Happy New Year!!
Not quite sure where 2013 went but we welcomed 2014 with a New Year's Day hike! This year the temps didn't cooperate for us to do a bike ride so a hike it was. Gotta start the new year off right. =)
Eli and Cole were quite funny today. We were given all kinds of instructions for how this hike would be. Eli was to be first, Cole second, then Mommy and then Daddy in back. If we ever got out of that order, the hike came to a halt until we got in order. Hilarious! We started all bundled up but they ditched their hats, coats, poles and Camelbaks before it was over. Good quality family fun!
Here's hoping 2014 is a super great year. I'm 100% positive that, with these two, it won't be boring!

Before we started, Cole explained this sign to us and he NAILED it! He said "Go this way, Bring a friend, Hike with your dog and No bike riding". Guess the sign did exactly what it was supposed to do if a 4-1/2 year old gets it!

This was about when Cole's legs gave up. It took a while to get going again.

These two......my goodness....love them like crazy and they drive me crazy!
After we got home, Cole decided to "call" his friend. He was jabbering away on the non-working phone. It just made me sad to think the boys will never know the kitchen phone with the LONG curly cord that you have to use to talk to your friends. Ahhhh, memories!
