O Christmas Tree......decorating our tree

Decorating the tree turned out to be a two day process. Eli & Cole were SO crazy about decorating it that they wouldn't leave the ornaments alone, were trying to pull them out of their boxes and ended up breaking one. Sunday ended up just being lights and we finally got them calmed down enough tonight to do the actual ornaments. Daddy pretty much took care of putting the lights on - with some supervision by the boys of course. Then tonight, I took each ornament out of the box, handed it to one of the boys and they put it on the tree. For the higher ones, they showed Daddy where they wanted it and he helped put those one. Eli & Cole pretty much decided on the placement of all the ornaments and I didn't change a thing! It was their tree and they did a great job decorating it. They love to look at the ornaments and talk about their "favorites". I think Cole has 20 favorites on the tree. =)

Such a cute little Cole-Elf!
Helping and supervising - very serious business.
Love!
Eli the Eli made sure to get the beads organized for us.
Oh goodness, this Ninjago Lego book has been a serious thing around the house. Eli saw it at Lowe's with Daddy and REALLY wanted it. He didn't want to wait for Christmas so I told him that we could order it and he could use his Tooth Fairy money to help pay for it. We ordered it and the waiting was painful for him! He checked the front porch every day. One day even sitting on the steps and crying because it wasn't here yet. In the end, he was thrilled when it got here (about a week later) and he had to give me all his Tooth Fairy money before he could open the box. Hopefully he's learning a little about patience and money....time will tell!
Cole wanted to "help" me make cookies but this is really what he wanted. It's my favorite part too!
This year's ornaments from Uncle Billy & Aunt Niki - love our Legos!!
1st ornament on the tree - Cole's Lego airplane.

All done!! Great job boys!
Our book advent calendar - I wrapped up 24 Christmas books and they opened one each day for us to read as a family. The boys loved it.
Our beautiful tree. It's awesome to sit in the living room with just the tree lights on.
