So true!

Just found this on my computer. This Baby Blues cartoon was in the paper in May and it just made me laugh out loud because it is SOOOO our life!

Playing in the rain

The boys thought it was fun to run out into the rain and back in tonight.
I'm not sure what made them do it but it sure was fun to watch!

I see Lego people

This is what Eli left me this morning.
Lots of Lego people everywhere. He loves the Star Wars figures. You can't really see the knights but they are around too (like watching me in the bathroom!).
Check out the knight with headgear in the roadster. Love it!

a Normal weekend

We had a nice normal weekend this weekend. We spent a lot of time trying to tire out the boys (they have SO much energy!!) and just being together.

Saturday morning I took a Summer Sizzlin' class at the Y - 1-1/2 hours, Zumba + Muscle. The boys played in Y care and Tim went on a road bike ride. When we all got back together, we went to the pool. Eli & Cole LOVE the pool. They got their water love from their Daddy! We played for a long time and then headed home for lunch. Thankfully the boys each took a long nap which allowed me to run errands. Then we spent the afternoon at home, playing outside and doing chores.

Sunday morning, the boys had cinnamon rolls for breakfast while watching cartoons. Somehow that has become our Sunday morning breakfast / routine and they always ask for them. We went to church and made a quick trip by the flea market after church just to walk around and see what was there. We let the boys actually walk so it became a real quick trip! While Cole took a nap, Tim broke out his container of Legos......the ultimate treasure chest for Eli. He was BEYOND excited. There were knights, Star Wars figures and all sorts of Legos. I swear it must have kept him busy for two hours. That boy loves some Legos (good thing we have Legos planned for his birthday! Shhhhhhh!!).

The weekend was good and it was really nice to stay close to home and just do normal stuff. Here's to another busy week ahead!

 PrePool snack time.
The Cole-man-fish

Sunday morning snuggle and tv time
Instead of pigs in a blanket, I've got Boys in Blankets. =)
Headed to the flea market - all my boys. They are my life - love all three of them so much!
Eli saw the MOST amazing thing as we were headed home. He spotted this quasi rainbow in the clouds. My pictures do not do it justice. It was the most amazing thing I've probably ever seen in the sky.
Completely unexpected and not connected to anything, just beautiful colors in the clouds.
 Daddy's Lego treasure chest!
Cole even got in on the action when he got up from nap time.
And I just HAVE to show this. Yes, I scored over 400 on Words with Friends and yes, I actually beat Tim too! (it was just a good lucky day but I'll take it!)

Bubbles

The boys are having fun performing their own science experiments with chocolate milk and straws. My little Einsteins!

North Carolina crafty

A little North Carolina crafty for a friend moving out of State. I love how it turned out!

Finally....Monster Truck quilt is home!

I got my quilt back from the quilt show this weekend (no ribbons but nice comments from the judge - I am proud of my first quilt!) and Eli was so happy to get it on his bed. It (almost) completes his Monster Truck themed room.

Eli & Cole hanging out on the headboard with the quilt in place
 Pretending to sleep
 Really sleeping....all snuggled up
THIS is EXACTLY why I enjoy making things for the boys.     Love Love Love     This quilt means a lot to me and I know it means a lot to Eli too.

WWF - Brother versus Brother

Many many nights, our house turns into a WWF arena. It's brother versus brother....sometimes it's tame but other times it's like a no holds barred cage match. Their favorite arena is one of their beds. Tonight it was Cole's bed. Allow me to share pictures.....

Suited up and ready to rumble - undies and Elmo slippers for Cole
Cole "fights" like I used to growing up - using the power of his feet and legs.
Eli then breaks out his "flip and flop" move - do a flip and flop on top of you. He does this to all of us regularly!
Two happy brothers!

Eli's new roommates

For 4K Graduation, Eli got new roommates.....three zebra fish and a snail. Tim set up his old tank in Eli's room last week and this afternoon, we took Eli to PetSmart to pick out fish. He also picked out a pirate ship to give the fish a playground. He loves to have the light on and just watch them. It's so much fun to watch him grow up and share these new things with him!

Tank set up - three zebra fish, a snail and a sunken pirate ship
 Happy Fish Owner!
