Party at Cole's Club House

Such a fantastic party day - celebrating our sweet 2 year old Cole-man!! This morning we had some of Cole's buddies from school over for a Mickey Mouse themed birthday party. We also very much enjoyed having Grandma & Grandpa C, Grandma & Grandpa N and Uncle Billy & Miss (soon to be Aunt!) Niki here. Cole has been spoiled rotten all week since his birthday and party day was the ultimate in spoiling!! I had fun this week making cookies, cupcakes and games for the kids. We had a Mickey Mouse bean bag toss (re-decorated Cornhole game!), a ball toss to knock over cans, a coloring station, mini-bounce house and, of course everyone's favorite, the swing set. We had a picnic of Mickey Mouse nuggets for lunch and then enjoyed cupcakes and cookies. The weather was perfect, the kids had fun and I couldn't have asked for it to be any better.

My little "helper" sneaked a bite of Mickey's ear (Eli!).
Cookies all decorated and packaged up
Cole's name in cookies for the top of his mini-cake (I wanted to try something new).
The morning started out with our new slug friend. He lived in Eli's dump truck inside for a while until he got a little adventurous and Daddy put him back outside.
Cole and Monkey Jim in his new chair from Grandma & Grandpa N.
The boys got awesome matching camp chairs - little tiger chairs with their names on them.
Cole was quite happy when the first present, I mean guest, arrived. =)
Quick family photo before the party.
Eli was pretty unhappy, he was stung by a bee on his foot a little earlier and it was still hurting him.
Cookies / goodie bag set up.
Cole, Wyatt & Grandma C playing Mickey bean bag toss.
Cute little Cullen in the bounce house (btw, Cullen & I share a birthday!)
My lands, such generous friends!
Cole took a short break to color with Henry. Matthew & Will looking on.
Almost all the kids at the Mickey nugget picnic. They did great!
Cole & his best bud Wyatt.
My cupcake creations and the Cole cake. I was pretty happy with it all. I tried a new cupcake and icing recipe - YUM!!
Happy Birthday my sweet Cole!!
All his friends singing Happy Birthday.
Just what he had been waiting for.
Gotta start with the icing first.
Eli & Cole both love love love cupcakes and cookies.
Apparently Wyatt liked it too!
Cole hanging out (check out his Mickey birthday shirt!) with Grandpa C and Grandpa N in the background.
Hey Cole!
Time for bye hugs. Cole did so great with all his friends. I told Wyatt's mom that in a few years, this hug ends in a body slam and they start wrestling. Think I'm kidding? It's happening with Eli & his friends!!
After everyone left, we let Cole start opening presents. He wasn't very interested at first.
He looks like such a big boy reading his card.
Oooohhhh, what's inside? He was so excited to find Tow Mater!
Lots of tissue paper was thrown around opening presents.
And hilariously enough, Cole took a break from opening presents to go outside and he started playing with the cans!
Stacking with Grandma C
Reaching tall all by himself.
I'm happy and I know I'm cute!
Eli & Ryan had a great time playing on the swings with Ms. Carol.
She would pull them up and let them loose. Then they'd try to grab her. It was fun for them and fun to watch.
After some swinging and can stacking, it was back to opening presents.
Cole was happy to get a Mickey Mouse fleece blanket from Grandma & Grandpa N.
Cutie in his new John Deere hat. Need to take this down to the farm!
Cole was so tired from everything that he took his blanket and just laid down on the floor.
He & Eli were playing like they were sleeping.
Cole wanted Uncle Billy's help on this one.
A cool truck book - Cole loved it.
Eli showing Uncle Billy his "bird game" skills. The boy has some mad skills I tell ya!
Great picture with Grandma & Grandpa N (and surprisingly enough, I got it in one try!).
Great picture with Grandma & Grandpa C (another one captured in just one shot!).
With Uncle Billy and Miss Niki (she'll be Aunt Niki in just 2 months!!!)
The boys wanted to play in the puddle in the street so Grandma C kept them company. They were so tired and they were just trying to stay awake!
Splish splash
