Today we headed out for our first ever real family vacation! We are headed to Florida to visit with Tim's brother and his family and also Tim's parents who are down there with their RV. We are all very excited. The plan is 10 days and 9 nights in the pop up camper. I've made reservations for each night, have one possible-to-do thing for each day and have my notebook of confirmations, directions and information all together.
The original goal was to head out between 9-10am. We pulled out of the driveway just a few minutes after 10am, great job family! Today's journey took us to MacIntosh Lake campground in Georgia. The boys did awesome riding and were good travelers. I think everyone was so excited to be going! Our first day was a success!
Almost ready to pull out - love the little bikes on top!
Happy Eli (and travel bingo)
Silly Cole (with his travel bingo)
My view for hours - so glad Tim loves to drive, I prefer to ride. =)
We stopped in Georgia
at the Visitor's Center to run around,
take some photos,
and we also picked up a few maps.
This was a pretty funny picture of our "little" set-up next to the tractor trailers.
Cole was upset when he spilled water on himself so he rode in underwear. Pretty funny!
MacIntosh Lake
View out of the camper
As usual, the boys loved playing Monster trucks in the sand.
Checking out the deck and lake.
Cole ready for 1st night in the camper - he and Tim slept on one end.
Eli ready for 1st night in the camper - he & I slept on the other end. It worked out better than letting the boys sleep together and keep each other awake.
