We thought we were being all smart using a thin vinyl wire to hang our bird feeders, including the pine cone ones. Well, that was before we met the tightrope walking squirrel. We saw a squirrel eating from a pine cone this morning but it wasn't until this afternoon that we actually saw him get to the pine cone. He literally went from the tree bark, walked the tightrope and hung upside down to eat the bird seed. That's one determined squirrel!!
