Monster Jam 2012!!!

Big day today - LOTS of pictures and fun. We took the boys to Monster Jam!! This was Eli's 3rd official Monster Jam and 4th time at Monster Trucks. Cole's 1st official Monster Jam and 2nd time at Monster Trucks. Oh how our boys love them!! We were able to share the day with some of their friends - Owen (+ Dad) and Gray (+ Parents).

We left home really early and got to the Arena about 20 minutes before the doors opened. There were already long lines to get into the Arena for the Pit Party!! We were able to get in, down to the dirt and meet / take pictures with every driver. There were 6 trucks and the boys had a great time being down there. Cole did an awesome job of holding on to the program and then giving it to every driver and Quad / Motorcross racer to sign. We got through it all pretty quickly since we were early (less than an hour!) so we were able to let the boys walk around a bit and then we went up to our seats to grab lunch.

The show consisted of a lot of fun stuff - Monster Truck wheelie competition, Monster Truck races, Monster Truck freestyle, Quad Races and Motorcross stunts. There was a short intermission but for the most part, it was constant action and the boys loved it! We had 3 rows of 3 seats so we let the older boys (Eli, Owen & Gray) sit on the front row of our level by themselves. It was cute to see their independence and how they enjoyed watching the show together.

I think everyone had fun and Eli & Cole very much enjoyed sharing their love of Monster Jam with their friends. Both boys were tired out and fell asleep on the way home. With only about a 10 minute cat nap, they were raring to go when we got home. Thankfully that helped us with an early bedtime because Mommy & Daddy were quite tired too!! I can't wait to make them their Shutterfly book for them to relive it over and over. And we're definitely looking forward to our next one!

Now the pictures.....

Cole, Eli & Owen - when I had them alone on the concourse, I made them hold hands to stay together. They were so cute! And well behaved!
Frank Krmel, Grinder
Scott Buetow, Ironman (his 1st time in NC!)
Such a cute crew!
Morgan Kane, Stone Crusher - a 22 year old from NC! He did great!!
Bryan Wright, Monster Magic
Whit Tarlton, Monster Mutt (super nice guy. We met him last year and the year before driving Spiderman.)
Motorcross Racers - these guys were CRAZY! They did all kinds of tricks and most of them also did backflips!

Future quad racer (actually he said he wants to do Motorcross bikes)
Owen & Eli - could be trouble in the future!
Waving their flags waiting in line for Grave Digger
Getting Gary Porter to sign their program and flags (we didn't think about the flags until we were at the last truck. Would have been great to have everyone sign one for Eli's room. Oh well!)

In our seats, checking out the trucks and Pit Party from above
My sweet Monster Jam boy - he says he's going to be a driver when he grows up. Bring it on!!!
