Most of this week was centered around getting ready for our big camping trip. It was all I could do to make it to 3pm at work on Thursday. So much to do!!! I started packing last weekend and making lists LONG before that. Packing to be gone for NINE days, including all food, is a serious job for this Mommy. I had planned that we'd eat out one time for each meal - one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner. So that meant a LOT of other meals to plan and buy. It worked out best for us all to plan to eat together and my parents just brought some of their favorite snacks. I had also pretty much determined that we wouldn't be able to do any laundry (last year we did) so figuring out clothes for all of us (well, me & the boys, I make Tim pack his own!!) was a task. Hopefully we've got enough...or we'll be smelly. So far so good....we'll see how it all shakes out this week!
Monday night the boys got creative with some of Daddy's edging.
They used it for a long race car track. Love their imaginations!
After the play session with cars, it was time for bikes. And time for stunts on bikes...
which leads to my Ph.D in little boy boo-boo repairs. It seems like almost every time they get out riding, especially late in the day, it ends with someone crying and bleeding.
And then, of course, some favorite pictures of our first three days of vacation. Very thankful we've got another week of it!!
Friday morning....ready to roll.
Home sweet camper home.
Indian Echo Caverns
Gem mining
Hiking
Kayaking....followed by swimming.
