We had a busy day planned for Saturday and it turned out to be a fun and exhausting day. On tap - Tim had a bike ride in Hillsborough and the boys and I planned to go to Owen's 3rd birthday party at the fire station.
Tim left about 6:30am for the ride and the boys and I started our day. We decided to go around the neighborhood - Eli on his tricycle and Cole in the wagon. Eli rode for a little while, then wanted to walk and then wanted to pull Cole in the wagon. We did make it to Owen's birthday party but it was iffy for a while. Eli was not on his best behavior and Cole missed his morning nap. We met the birthday boy and his family at a local park for some play time before heading to the fire station where Owen's aunt Myra is a fire fighter (Tim met us at the fire station). It was so cool to see the station, get a tour and get up close with the fire trucks. The kids loved it! Eli & Cole (and Mommy) were pooped when it was over and we all took naps when we got home. My friend Kara did an amazing job with her homemade goodies - wonderful cupcakes with firetrucks on them and decorated cookies that looked like fire trucks, dalmatians and fire hydrants. They were yummy!

Eli out for an early morning tricycle ride.
And then trying to pull Cole in the wagon.
Eli & Birthday Boy Owen playing at the park.
They climbed up the turf wall to the slide, completely ignoring the stairs that were there.
Fun sliding down.
Cole had fun playing peek-a-boo with me behind a tree.
Eli was amazing going across these obstacles - definitely a little monkey!
Cole had fun playing on the rocks while watching Eli.
Always in motion....Eli running on the bridge.
At the fire station, we got to see where they sleep and they simulated an alarm in the middle of the night - thus Eli holding his ears.
Myra then showed the kids how they get dressed - they only have one minute to do it!

Eli checking it out the front of the truck.
Eli was so excited to give Owen his birthday present - and Owen was excited to get it!
Stay tuned, hopefully will post Sunday fun tomorrow!
