In Daddy's own words, it was his "best Father's Day yet"! Such high praise for our fun day!! When the boys woke up, they were super excited to give Daddy some presents and say "Happy Father's Day". I managed to keep them from waking Daddy up for just a little bit; thankfully Daddy was awake pretty early so it was no big deal. The highlight of the cards was where the boys had made Daddy cards, each one drawing Daddy and filling in the blanks (Mad lib style) of their favorite things about him. I made him bacon cheddar muffins and coffee for breakfast - apparently he was hoping I would. =) Great service at church and then we packed a picnic lunch to head to the park.
Not sure who gets more excited over presents - Daddy or the boys!
Love this shot
Present time!!
My boys before church - such a handsome group, I think I'll keep them!
Goofing before we went to Umstead
We had a great picnic at Umstead and then went on a hike. The boys loved eating out in the woods and even ate all their lunch. We chose to do a "long" hike again and, just like all the other times before, we had to carry Cole part of the way. It was just so nice to be outside as a family. Then, we came home for a little rest time before cooking steaks on the grill for dinner. We know Daddy felt the love and had fun today. You're the best Daddy ever!!
Picnic lunch
Who is that?!! Eli looks so big!!
My silly orange loving boy
Look at those boys - love love love!
The whole reason we celebrate Father's Day - Daddy & his boys
Eli's face totally cracks me up here. He is so animated.
Looking for bugs in the tree stump.
Serious action shot
I went to take a picture and "busted" Cole aggravating his brother.
Little brothers have it so hard!
"No Mom really, I'm not walking.....any more."
So Daddy becomes transport.
Family shot - so happy to be an outdoorsy family!
"Are we there yet?"
"Seriously Mom"
So handsome. The hat turned backwards cracked us up.
