We had a wonderfully busy Mother's Day weekend. The boys were excited to give me their handmade gifts when we picked them up from school Friday. We didn't even make it out of the parking lot!
Beautifully painted pottery from Eli
Friday night we met our friends Kara & Brian, with Owen & Faye, at the airport observation park for a pizza picnic. The kids all had a great time running around. Cole was especially "into" the airplanes. He kept asking and signing for more. Eli & Owen ran around like crazy boys, led by Eli of course. It was a fun night with our friends and the kids got all their end-of-the-week energy out.
Cole spent a lot of time pointing, excited EVERY time he saw an airplane.
Pizza picnic
Cole watching the airplane
Eli & Owen running down the air strip. They're not airplanes but rather lightning fast jets!
"I know you told me not to go up the stairs Mom so I'll distract you with my cuteness before you pull me off them."
Cole & Faye playing in the sand box.
Eli, Owen & Faye playing - always fun.
"A big one Daddy!"
Running boys, Eli & Owen - notice the bare feet.
Cookie time!
Eli kept doing crazy flips in the sand. No, he isn't falling here but rather doing flips.
Saturday we had a good family day. Calm morning at home doing a few chores and then we went to the library. The library was crazy (thus no pictures) because there was a "bug man" inside with snakes, spiders, turtles and other bugs. Eli loved watching him and even touched a huge spider! We then ran a few errands and headed home for naps.
Painting time with Daddy. Cole delegated his painting to Daddy!
Eli did really well on the monkey bars at the library. He was swinging and even managed the one arm action to advance to another bar.
And of course, Cole had to give it a try!
Climbing to get to the slide
Cole thinks he's SO big.
Super sweet face - just want to kiss those cheeks!!
Eli was pooped out after our errands.
Mother's Day morning was really nice. Although I was awake at 7am, Tim let me stay in bed reading while he & the boys played upstairs. The quiet time was much appreciated! At 8am, the boys were ready to see me and bring presents. They were especially ready to help me open the presents!
A new griddle!! Along with the griddle came eggs and pancake breakfast for all of us cooked by Tim! They also gave me a cd I had asked for. Very nice gifts!
Mommy's Cute Monsters
I love how they do so much together. Here: watching 'Jake and the Never Land Pirates'
and here enjoying popcorn snack after naps, also watching Super Cross. Fun stuff!!
