Week Forty-Five: 11/3-11/9

We have survived week 45!! Goodness....we're getting close to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Where does the time go? Somewhat normal week with work, school, karate, basketball - no complaining here.

MONDAY - Progress!! Early Monday morning swim making progress toward my 8 mile pledge. FYI, 8 miles = 281.6 laps. Over half way!!
Eli's weekend news. Fun how he called Little Evan his "cousin". So sweet!
Cole missing "Miss Quinn"
TUESDAY - These two....my heart
We took the boys with us to vote. Definitely a right I care more about and exercise as I've gotten older.
WEDNESDAY - another early morning swim. And early.....as in 5am in the water.

THURSDAY - Cole had karate and Eli had a Scout Den meeting. Next year they'll both be in Scouts! Fun!!
FRIDAY - I volunteered through work on a re-building project for a homeowner. We pulled up carpet (thus the dust mask) and put down a vinyl plank floor in 3/4 of the house. We worked out butts off and it looked great when we were finished. Other groups worked on installing a new sink and some exterior work.
Superstar Swimmer! Cole graduating up to Level 5. Go Cole!!

The funniest thing from Friday was repeatedly hearing "it's not fair" from both Eli and Cole. It is very much a "he got this", "he got that" type of thing. I am very good about making sure I have two of most things (snacks, pencils, etc) but I have decided that 2 children = a one way ticket to the land of "it's not fair". And I'm going to enjoy the ride.
SATURDAY - basketball and today was Individual and Team pictures. He's so big!
Showing off his guns
Team picture minus one who didn't show up in time for the pictures.
Warm ups

Cole was VERY into the game.
Eli has definitely gotten much better than last year.
A little Saturday night TV time with Grandma. She came to visit the boys and watch Eli's game. She loves to see me & Tim when she's here too. ;-)
SUNDAY - ready for church. It was exciting to get our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes today. Always a blessing to fill them up.

I hope they're this close forever.

Sunday afternoon, Daddy raked leaves. The boys were upset because they thought the leaves were gone. Little did they realize that Daddy had made them piles to drive though. Awesome Daddy!!
Just a blur
These dump trucks have been the best things ever. Eli got the Tonka one before he was born and Cole "brought" him the big plastic one when he was born. So 7+ and 5+ years......definitely money well spent!!

Week Forty-Four: 10/27-11/2

A kinda normal but really not normal week around here. School, throw in a teacher workday and Halloween, a birthday party and basketball - the craziness of our life!

MONDAY - Eli's completed book report. So proud of him. Flat Stanley in Paris.
Since it was a "pumpkin" book report, we decided to paint the pumpkin like a globe and highlight all the placed Flat Stanley has been in the book series.
Eli's Weekend News - I always wonder if his teacher thinks he makes stories up. His recaps make our weekends look super exciting and fun - oh wait, they are!!
Cole being silly.
Love our new duvet cover!
I volunteered in Eli's class and it was so fun to see all the Character Pumpkin Book Reports.
WEDNESDAY - no school and pumpkin carving day.

My favorite funny picture.

THURSDAY - Cole had a book report (a rubric) as well. He read the Flat Stanley book and dressed like Flat Stanley to talk to his class about the book. Isn't he a cute Flat Stanley?!!
Thursday night karate class - Cole has started taking karate twice a week. We hope it will help him with discipline and self control at school (and home).

FRIDAY night - Halloween. Trick or Treating for my Little Scientists.
They are ready!
SATURDAY morning we got to help celebrate Little E's 3rd birthday. The boys were excited to jump, climb, swing and bounce.
Future Ninja.
This was a super steep and high climb.

Happy Birthday Evan!!
This was so funny and sweet. Carlee wanted to climb the ladder so Eli spotted her and helped her get up.

Pretty cupcakes
Birthday Girl

After the party, we headed to Eli's basketball game.
He is a defensive animal.
I just love watching them play.

Eli's buddy Evan P. came to watch his game and then spent the night with us. These three were so happy together.
SUNDAY - A little morning TV time for the boys before church.
They had a lot of fun having Evan spend the night.
